Update: The merger between the Barking and Dagenham Club and the Witten Partnership Association has now been officially completed
Following a letter from the Local Court dated 14 April 2026, the merger of Barking and Dagenham Club Witten e.V. with Partnerschaftsverein Witten e.V. has now been officially completed.
The merger had previously been approved at the annual general meetings of both associations on 23 February 2026 at the Sparkasse Witten event centre.
The Barking and Dagenham Club will continue to be represented as a separate branch within the Witten Twinning Association. The long-standing twinning work with Barking and Dagenham will thus continue under the umbrella of the Twinning Association.
Note regarding membership
Following the completion of the merger, the Barking and Dagenham Club Witten e.V. is now represented as a branch within the Partnerschaftsverein Witten e.V.
Membership applications should therefore be submitted to the Partnerschaftsverein Witten e.V. in future. It goes without saying that you can still get involved in and support the partnership with Barking and Dagenham.
