Dear Club Members,
Due to the Corona pandemic, we were unable to hold Annual General Meetings in 2020 and 2021. Therefore, we invite you today to a “3-way Annual General Meeting” for the years 2019, 2020 and 2021.
Our English twin town has changed enormously in recent years. The number of inhabitants has gone up in leaps and bounds, and the municipality has had to expand the development of public facilities to cope with the increased number of inhabitants – currently 213,000.
Poor working-class neighborhood and gathering place for artists of all styles – in the case of our twin town Barking and Dagenham this is no contradiction. As part of the development of Greater London, it is planned to make offers here for artists from all over East London. This is an area with a population of 8 million.
The tree replaces the one originally planted by the German branch of the Barking and Dagenham Witten Club and by the Mayor of Witten, Sonja Leidemann in 2014.

Last Friday the Barking & Dagenham Witten Club spent a lovely evening in the Witten Popakademie.
A large group from the Barking & Dagenham-Witten Club from our British twin town arrived just in time for the Witten onion fair.
On Friday, January 26th, 2018, the members of the Barking & Dagenham / Witten Club met for a group in the rooms of the library and the Märkisches Museum.
